Spain

Masters & Makers

Architecture, flamenco in rooms that hold thirty, and artisans who will actually put the tools in your hands.

Spain’s great buildings are well known and well queued. Its makers are not. This lens is about the people still practising: the tile workshop, the guitar maker, the flamenco family whose tablao seats thirty and admits no tour groups.

What a journey here might include

  • Architecture with architects, outside opening hours where it can be arranged
  • Flamenco in private rooms rather than dinner shows
  • Workshops with makers: guitars, tile, leather, knives
  • Andalusia, Basque country, or Madrid and Castile — one region at a time

Pace and access

Spain eats late, which suits some travellers and not others. We shift the day to match how you actually like to live, rather than asking you to adapt.
