A conversation
By phone, video, or in person in Toronto. We want to understand how you like to travel: the pace, the company, the things you would rather never see again, and the standard you expect. This is also where we are honest about whether we are the right people for what you have in mind.

One considered proposal
A single route, drawn from places we know first-hand, rather than three options for you to referee. We refine it with you until every day sits right. This stage is where the design fee applies, because it is where the work happens.

Quiet logistics
Flights, transfers, guides, permissions, tables, closures arranged after hours. Accessibility confirmed rather than assumed. The machinery kept entirely out of view.

On the ground
A journey we have pre-checked, hosts expecting you in each destination, and a number that reaches us directly at any hour, in any time zone.
Software for the volume. People for the judgement.
We use good tools, and we are clear about where they stop being useful.
What the tools do well
- Check availability across hundreds of properties in minutes
- Work out the routing that saves you a travel day
- Watch weather, strikes and flight disruption around the clock
What only a person can do
- Tell you Naxos suits you better than Santorini, and be right
- Call someone who owes them a favour, and get the door opened
- Make the difficult decision at 2am when something has gone wrong
Independence
We are offered free stays and discounts in exchange for placing hotels in itineraries. We turn them down. No property earns a place in your journey because it offered us something.
If somewhere disappoints us, we say so, and we stop offering it. We would rather lose a booking than send you somewhere we would not go ourselves. That independence is the only thing that makes our recommendations worth having.
