Canada

Slow Wilderness

Indigenous-led culture, regional gastronomy, and luxury rail, close to home and badly underrated.

Our own country is the one most of our clients have seen least. It is also the easiest to travel well: no jet lag, no language barrier, and some of the most interesting Indigenous-led cultural travel anywhere.

What a journey here might include

  • Indigenous-owned lodges and guides, on their terms and their land
  • Regional food: the Okanagan, Prince Edward County, the Atlantic coast
  • Luxury rail through the Rockies, paired with a lodge at either end
  • The Yukon or the Arctic for travellers who want genuine remoteness

Pace and access

Distances are the challenge, not terrain. We use rail and short flights to keep travel days short, and we are honest about which remote lodges are hard work to reach.
